MERGE ATTAINS APPLE DEVELOPER STATUS

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Merge, a digital agency in the Upstate, is now a registered Apple Developer in the iOS Developer Program, which allows the agency to create and distribute mobile applications that can be sold in the Apple iStore.  As an Apple Developer, apps created by Merge will have the potential to reach millions of iPad, iPhone and iPod touch users.

“Achieving the Apple Developer status is really exciting for us because it takes our mobile app development capabilities to a whole new level for our clients, increasing profitability for clients like Heavy Salvage,” said Adam Landrum, President of Merge.

Now available in the iStore, the Heavy Salvage application for iPhone was built for its insurance company managers and independent adjusters to give them the capability to process salvage at the time of assessing wrecked damage.  Because of this, bidding on salvage can happen immediately, allowing their clients to decrease time to market anywhere from a day to several days, and saving cost to the insurance companies.

Additionally, Merge previously developed a mobile application for the Metropolitan Arts Council’s annual Open Studios, an event that showcases local visual artists at work in their studios.   The Open Studios app allows users to search for their favorite artists by name or medium, create a personalized list of favorites, and use a customized map to locate artists’ studios.

About Heavy Salvage

Heavy Salvage offers the industry's most trusted system for selling transportation salvage. Since launching in 2006, the company has auctioned thousands of transportation salvage items. Through blind bidding, their registered nationwide pool of verified buyers is able to purchase transportation salvage from insurance companies and other sellers.
