April Denee

Wordsmith

April Denée has always been an advocate for the underdog and finder of the unusual. Half uber-responsible adult and half silly, inquisitive kid, April channels her passions into writing human interest stories for local publications and producing documentary films. She also loves the challenge of finding the story in any subject and engaging the audience to care about it.

With 9 years in marketing and public relations and 6 years in college instruction, April has plenty of experience making people care about things they otherwise wouldn't, like the challenges of using the semicolon, how carbon credits work, and why to spend a Saturday afternoon talking with a funeral director (that last one was definitely a tough sell).

April holds an MA in English from Winthrop University and a BA in Psychology from Clemson University.
